Same legendary estate, different character: where 2015 is sunshine and muscle, 2018 is perfume and poise. A cooler season gave a Sassicaia of violets, fresh cassis and fine, silky tannins, a wine that whispers rather than declares. Many long-time lovers of the estate prefer exactly this style: it is closer to great Bordeaux in its restraint, yet unmistakably Tuscan in its warmth.
