Bordeaux, France · Château Beychevelle · Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot
The ship-crested grand cru of Saint-Julien: graceful, cedar-scented claret that drinks well young.
Delivered in ~30 minutes, anywhere in Monaco
Legend says ships passing Beychevelle on the Gironde lowered their sails in salute, which is why a ship graces the label. The château makes Saint-Julien in its classic form: balanced, cedar-scented, more grace than muscle. The 2021 is a cooler-year claret, fresh and aromatic, with supple cassis and plum. A wine to enjoy young while grander vintages sleep.
The sommelier’s note
