What you will taste
The Raveneau family works a few small parcels in Chablis and their wines have become almost impossible to find. Montée de Tonnerre sits just across from the grand crus and many tasters cannot tell the difference. The style is pure and taut: lemon, flint, a saline finish that tastes of the ancient seabed the vines grow on. No showy oak, no weight for the sake of weight, just precision.
