Champagne, France · Dom Pérignon · Pinot Noir, Chardonnay
A mature vintage of the world's most famous champagne: creamy, smoky and fully awake after years in the cellar.
Delivered in ~30 minutes, anywhere in Monaco
Dom Pérignon makes wine only in years worth remembering, and 2006 was generous and warm. Time has done its quiet work: the wine now shows ripe peach, brioche and roasted almond, with the gentle smokiness that collectors call the Dom Pérignon signature. The bubbles are fine and calm, the texture almost silky. This is champagne past its youth and exactly in its prime.
The sommelier’s note
«Serve at 10 degrees and resist the ice bucket after opening: as it warms, the 2006 tells its whole story. Large glasses, small pours.»
From the first pour to the last glass — follow it through the evening.
On arrival
Open with a sigh, not a pop: mature champagne deserves ceremony. First pour at 10 degrees.
15 min · First pour
Peach and citrus first, then warm toast. The mousse is finer than in any young champagne.
35 min · The opening
A gentle smoky note rises, with almond and cream underneath. This is mature Dom Pérignon at its best.
55 min · Last glass
Almost still now, deep and long. Raise the last glass to patience: the wine waited for you.
